Speaking about this, she said: “I was diagnosed with high cholesterol in my 30s, we have a familial history of it and there is a massive misconception that it’s an ‘old man issue’ – known as the ’silent killer’ – however we know that more women die from Cardio-vascular disease than they do Breast Cancer but no one talks about the causes of CVD.

“A heart attack or stroke etc is 30-40 years in the making, so it’s never too early to think about healthy lifestyle and I recommend everyone get tested. Knowledge is power and all that!”

She went on: “I was doing some work with my old GMTV pal Dr Hilary and I was curious to see my cholesterol levels given that both my parents have high cholesterol.

“I was genuinely so shocked when the results of the test showed I also had it. It can be hereditary and being a healthy, fit 30-something it just goes to show that anyone can have it and not know.”

The campaign Every Heart Deserves One, (EHDO), highlights the importance of having a caring friend and showing up for each other. Benecol believes in living healthy, happy lives and that to do so, you need a healthy, happy heart.

When asked what other projects Anna has been balancing lately, Anna revealed that she has been juggling many plates.

She explained: “It’s certainly been a busy time…we’ve just moved house to start a big renovation project on our family home which has been a LOT.

“I’ve also just finished a new Channel 4 series, plus my LuAnna podcast and I’m working on this amazing campaign on heart health with Benecol. And being a mum….it’s all fun but lots going on. It’s been particularly lovely hanging out with Aldo (Zilli) and Jo (Whiley) as part of the Benecol campaign, we really connected.”

“I have a few exciting projects going on the moment. I have a new podcast about Affairs which is out now, my Cost of Loving podcast on finances and relationships, and of course my LuAnna The Podcast which keeps storming the charts – Luisa and I are very grateful.

“I also have a new series of Celebs Go Dating about to start which I’m really excited about.”
