Clarkson’s Farm guests warned it’s ‘not what you think’ as fans make big mistake

Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm sits in the heart of the Cotswolds and visitors have now been made aware of some vital dos and don’ts before making the pilgrimage

Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddy Squat Farm is “not what fans expected”.

The former Top Gear presenter opened Diddly Squat Farm alongside his Prime Video series and has since opened a pub, The Farmer’s Dog, just a stone’s throw away.

One Reddit user who previously visited the farm has shared some top tips for visitors, including one thing to steer clear of and warned that the location is “not a petting zoo” or a meet and greet opportunity.

User VonBlitzk advises fans to “arrive by 9am at the latest” and warns against arriving after 12pm, as the queues are massive.

They also suggest: “Camp overnight or get a hotel and walk the public footpath, it’s free and interesting”. Having arrived at the farm at 7:30am, they were the first person in line and report that it’s fine to enter the car park before the 9am opening time.

“I lined up at 8am, by 8:30am the car park was almost full and the line was a decent size but manageable. They opened the toilets around 8:50am. By 9am the second half of the carpark was filling up and the line was horrendous, by 9:30am when the shop opened it was madness.”

They managed to purchase items from the shop in around five minute before embarking on a walk past Clarkson’s house on the public footpath, where they even bumped into farmhand Kaleb Cooper who they described as “cheerful”.

Upon returning to the shop at around 11:10am, the user said the scene was “pure unchecked chaos,” reports the Express. The queue was reportedly so long that its end was out of sight and customers were faced a one-hour wait for food.

They warned: “I met multiple groups expecting tractor rides and guided tours of the farm. Many people asked where the animals were and one group even expected it to be a petting zoo/adventure farm.”

“It appeared as if many turned up without researching how best to visit, when and what there actually was onsite, many failed to understand it was just a farm shop and multiple voiced expectations of meeting the cast at the shop.”
