Danny Jones shares update as he’s ‘back with his people’ after Maura Higgins scandal

McFly star Danny Jones has taken to social media for the first time since he was embroiled in a scandal after he was caught on camera kissing I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! star Maura Higgins

McFly’s Danny Jones has updated his fans for the first time in a while after he went silent on social media after his ‘kiss’ scandal with Maura Higgins.

The musician dropped some sweet pics on Insta, giving fans a little peek into his life after that spicy BRITs scandal where he allegedly locked lips with I’m A Celeb beauty Maura Higgins.

The 38-year-old rocker chose the Bank Holiday vibes to flaunt some epic snaps with his bandmates rocking out to an electric Swansea crowd. Flashing a cheeky grin as he whipped up the Welsh punters, Danny captioned his post: “Back with my people. Thank you Swansea.”

It’s been a minute since we heard from the heartthrob, what with him flying under the radar post-smoochgate with bombshell Maura, 34. The ‘kiss’ set tongues wagging after video clips seemed to catch Danny and Maura getting cosy at the Universal Music afterparty on Saturday, March 1, hot on the heels of the BRIT Awards glam fest.

Amid the swirling rumours about his marriage to Georgia, insiders have insisted that Danny and his wife are sticking together despite recent scandal. “They are clearly looking to put things behind them, and move on with their lives. It really hasn’t been a good time at all but they are very much together,” a source told the Mirror.

While he’s addressed the issue online, neither Danny nor Maura has talked in detail about what really went down. But in a candid Instagram post in March, Danny extended an apology to his beloved Georgia Jones and their kin, including their son Cooper, vowing to keep matters away from the prying public.

He crafted an earnest message: “Hello everyone, sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.”

And he didn’t forget his supporters, expressing his thanks by saying, “I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny.”
