Emmerdale fans are convinced that Steph Miligan’s days in the Dales are numbered, and they reckon they’ve sussed out who’s going to do her in.

Steph (played by Georgia Jay) first graced our screens last year as the long-lost daughter of Ruby (Beth Cordingly) and Caleb (William Ash). Not long after, Ruby’s dad Anthony (Nicholas Day) rocked up, throwing her life into chaos.

As Anthony made himself at home, Ruby started to unravel, clearly hiding something about her old man. The bombshell dropped when it was revealed that Anthony had sexually abused Ruby at 14, and he was actually Steph’s biological father.

After his vile deeds came to light, Anthony met a grisly end at the hands of his own daughter Ruby, with several villagers, including Caleb, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), and Cain (Jeff Hordley), now tangled up in the murder cover-up.

Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and his beau John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) are also in the know, with John helping to hide Anthony’s body in a secret woodland spot. Since then, Steph’s been desperate to connect with her grandad, but Ruby’s keeping mum to protect her, as she’s still in the dark about Anthony being her real dad.

But this week, things took a dramatic twist as Steph kept digging. She even spun a yarn about chatting with her grandad, hoping to rattle Aaron and Caleb, reports Leicestershire Live. Moreover, she stumbled upon a firearm in her dad’s safe and demanded an explanation. Despite Ruby and Caleb’s attempts to cover their tracks with another lie, Steph wasn’t buying it.

Now, as Steph is hell-bent on uncovering the truth about her father’s past, viewers are worried that her quest might lead to her untimely demise, as they’ve ‘figured out’ her shocking fate.

On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one viewer posted: “Oh no! What’s Steph next move?” Another fan responded: “What if Aaron spills the beans to John about Steph still snooping and John ends up offing her?” A third chimed in: “I agree, it’s going to backfire at some point!” Yet another fan suggested: “It’s definitely not going to end well for her.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
