BBC One aired the latest installment of this year’s The Apprentice on Thursday night which resulted in a firing few saw coming, let alone the candidate themselves
Mia Collins has admitted she was stunned when she was fired on The Apprentice.
The bodybuilder was sent home by Lord Sugar in tonight’s episode. It was one of the biggest shocks in the show’s history as she’d been tipped as one of the frontrunners to win the series.
Mia said: “I’d proven I was a good candidate. I took comfort in how well things had gone. I thought I’d be in the final five candidates. When I was fired it was a shock. I thought I was a strong candidate.”
Mia was left in tears over the decision, adding: “The second the cameras were off, I got very upset. I’ve got no shame in admitting that.
“I had a cry. It was tough. I feel like I’ve let all the people who supported me down.
“Once I got home, I booked to go to Dubai. I wanted to come to terms with it somewhere sunny.”
After failing to win the show, Mia ditched plans to launch a meal prep service. She is now managing sales coaching firm Prep And Perform.
She said: “It’s all centred around high-performance, sporting-level discipline that organisations can adopt in their teams.”
Work-wear brand owner Liam Snellin was also fired in last night’s show.
It leaves Amber-Rose Badrudin, Anisa Khan, Chisola Chitambala, Dean Franklin and Jordan Dargan to fight it out for victory.
The Apprentice star Harpreet Kaur has opened up about how worried she was before confessing her romance to Lord Sugar after she met her man on the BBC show which aired two years ago.
The 2022 winner spoke exclusively to Daily Star, in collaboration with https://www.skyvegas.com/games/slots, as she opened up about her co-star relationship with her BBC competitor Akshay Thakrar.
Harpreet told us: “I remember messaging him [Lord Sugar] to let him know because I felt it was the right thing to do. He was really positive and supportive. I remember him even giving my husband a follow on X [Twitter], which must mean he likes him! He was genuinely supportive and kind about it.”
The series continues on Thursday at 9pm on BBC One.
