Glastonbury Festival fans have been left divided after organisers shared this year’s line-up today (March 6) as they question why one performer was snubbed for a Pyramid Stage headline slot
Glastonbury Festival fans have offered mixed reviews after this year’s line-up was announced, with some even declaring they want to ‘sell their tickets’.
With a crowd of 200,000 expected to descend on Worthy Farm this year, Glastonbury is set to be bigger and better than ever. However, organisers have left people threatening not to go to the five-day festival after they revealed the three Pyramid Stage headliners, as well as a swathe of other big-name performers set to grace the Somerset event in June.
The line-up was shared to the festival’s official X account, with The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo set to headline the coveted stage on Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively. The likes of Charli XCX and Doechii – both recent Grammy winners – as well as Rod Stewart, Biffy Clyro, Four Tet and The Prodigy also feature on the bill.
“Here is the first Glastonbury Festival 2025 line-up poster,” organisers wrote. “Many more acts and attractions still to be announced.”
However, fans have declared it is the “worst line-up in history” and some have even been left unsure about whether they will attend. One wrote: “Worst line up ever,” while another added: “That’s very poor.”
Meanwhile a third chimed in: “First time I’ve ever seen a glasto lineup and not been jealous of everyone going. The 1975 are surely the worst headliner of all time.”
“Poster great, line ups absolutely abysml. 350 quid for that lmao,” said another. “This is the worst lineup in the history of Glastonbury’s, it’s gone so far downhill there’s not going back up! Total disappointment.”
Some were so enraged by the bill, they said they were considering selling their tickets. “Kinell does anyone want my Glasto ticket, they’ve defrosted some people for that line up hahahaha luckily I’ve got primavera for all the Real Music Enthusiasts,” said one.
“I actually might sell my glasto ticket,” agreed someone else. “It’s not worth it. That a f***ing terrible lineup.”
However, not everyone was incensed by the bill. One wrote: “The responses have me shocked, this is an amazing line up???” Meanwhile another agreed: “WHO IS GONNA SELL ME A GLASTO TICKET.”
Some fans were also shocked that songstress Charli XCX wasn’t granted a headlining spot on the Pyramid Stage given the success of her latest album, Brat.
“The 1975 headlining at Glastonbury? Why?” one person wrote. “Glad there is at least one female headliner but shocked Charli xcx was not headlining the Pyramid Stage. She deserves that slot and The 1975 make no sense at all.”
“I acc can’t believe they put Neil Young as a headliner when Charli XCX was not only right there but already headlining another stage at the same f***ing festival.”
Glastonbury Festival organisers have been invited to comment.
