A Harry Potter star has shared why she’s decided to produce “sensual” content on an adult site.

Jessie Cave, 37, played Ron Weasley’s girlfriend Lavender Brown in the beloved Potter movies, based on JK Rowling’s best-selling books. She appeared in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009), and in both of the Deathly Hallows films which ended the series.

The actress how now decided to launch a career on adult subscription site Only Fans, where she’s aiming to produce “very sensual” videos for those who have a “thing” for her long hair. Jessie says her subscribers can expect “niche hair content” but made it clear her account on the site is “not a sexual one”.

The mum-of-four has now revealed that she’s planning to use the platform for a year to “get out of debt” and refurbish her house. The actress also said she wants to “empower” herself and practice “self-love”.

On her Substack account, Brown wrote: “One year. I’ll try for one year. My aim? To get the house safe, cover the arsenic/lead wallpaper, build a new roof etc. One year. I’ll try for one year. My aim? To get the house safe, cover the arsenic/lead wallpaper, build a new roof etc.

“My aim? To get out of debt. My aim? To empower myself? To prove to those in the past who have misjudged me that I’m not so sweet? To put time into something I never invested in before: self-love.

“Were my years of Harry Potter conventions in fact research?”, Cave pondered. “[It feels] like I’m doing something naughty, something a little f***ed up. I like that. Ripping up the good little actress rule book.”

A description for her Only Fans profile reads: “Former Harry Potter actress, writer, doodler and now Only Fans Long Hair Specialist. I do NICHE HAIR CONTENT which you may well quite like. How magical! Owl drop near daily. Wizard warning: Will not do explicit sexual content. Might be in my underwear. Will respond to Dm’s. Let’s get to know each other!”

Jessie said: “If you have a hair thing, this is the place for you. If you want something specific, you can message me and I will be happy to see what we can do. LOVE JESSIE XXX.”

She announced her move to Only Fans on her Before We Break Up Again podcast, which she hosts with on-off boyfriend Aflie Brown. The pair share sons Abraham and Donnie, and daughters Margot and Becker.

On a recent episode, the actress said: “I’m launching an Only Fans, it’s not a sexual one. It’s a fetish. Fetish doesn’t necessarily mean sexual.”

She revealed she gets a lot of interest in her hair. “It’s never kind of dirty comments,” Jessie said. “But I do get lots of interest in the hair thing, and I just thought, f*** it, I’m gonna do something that is very niche. I know it’s niche, but it’s been really cool to do. It’s been quite liberating.”

“I really am choosing to think of this as an empowering moment for me, because I have been this very kind of straight, prim actress for a lot of my career. And this is very much a way of me saying, ‘Okay, I’m doing something that is not normal. This is weird and me and a bit kinky, and why not?'”

Alfie, who said he was playing “devil’s advocate” during the conversation, asked his co-star if she was “prepared” for how taken about some people might be by her decision to produce content on the site. “Are you prepared for the idea that people may find this quite an extraordinary thing to be doing,” he asked.

Jessie insisted she was ready for it. “I don’t mind it,” she said, adding: “I’ve reached the point now where I’ve done the same things for a few years with writing and acting and comedy, I’ve had largely negative experiences in all three fields, with glimmers of lovely people and good work.
