Glastonbury fans are convinced a huge star is playing a set at the iconic festival.

Glasto has returned to Worthy Farm in Somerset with thousands flocking to the gates to secure their camping spots and kick off their weekend. The likes of Rod Stewart, The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo are headlining the famous Pyramid Stage this year, with Charli XCX, The Prodigy and Loyle Carner on the Other Stage.

However, speculation is growing around who could be filling the secret slot billed for this Friday (June 27) on the Pyramid Stage. The mystery act, labelled “TBA”, is set to play after Canadian music icon Alanis Morrisette.

Fuelling the rumours is a mysterious billboard that’s popped up at Castle Cary, the train station that is located closest to the festival. The white billboard features nothing but large red text, which reads: “I’ve had my share of Monday mornings when I can’t get up.”

It also includes a phone number and invites fans to text it. When you contact the number, it sends you a cryptic message that reads: “Hey it’s TBA, thanks for signing up,” and invites fans to “save” their “contact card” with a link attached.

It also sends another message that reads: “I’m gonna get up and live until the day that I die.” It’s surely a nod to the secret performer, given the sender refers to themselves as “TBA”.

One fan took a photo of the billboard and shared it on X, formerly Twitter, to discuss what it could mean. They also suggested it could Lewis Capaldi filling the slot and making an epic comeback to the stage following his hiatus from performing due to health issues.

They wrote: “Me and my mates are sat racking our brains about this Castle Cary billboard. Pls say you know something. Is it Capaldi ???”. Scottish singer Capaldi is one of the acts rumoured to be appearing at Glasto.

Another billboard has popped up in Glasgow, Scotland, with text that reads: “I refuse to spend my best years rotting in the sun.” Like the Castle Cary billboard, this includes a phone number and texts you back with the “Hey it’s TBA” message.

Perhaps the biggest clue it’s him performing is that Capaldi himself has ‘liked’ several of the posts on Instagram relating to the billboards. It could also be lyrics from an unreleased song of his, although this is not confirmed.

Others agree that it’s the Someone You Love hitmaker, including one who wrote: “I’ve seen the billboard stuff, I think it’s Lewis Capaldi.” Another commented: “Lewis Capaldi, I really reallllllly hope the rumours are true!!!.”

Capaldi, who suffers with Tourette’s, took a break from performing after his last appearance at Glasto in 2023. His emotional outing on the Pyramid Stage saw the singer struggle to sing his songs before the crowd helped him finish the set – after this he took a break from touring.

Another fan reckoned the billboard was referring to Pulp as they have a song called Monday Morning, and the billboard mentions Monday mornings. There is also a secret act called Patchwork listed for the Pyramid Stage on Saturday, which some believe could be Lorde, Haim or Pulp.
