Sam Thompson is hoping to become a movie star. The I’m A Celebrity winner, 32, wants to carve out a new career as an actor — even though he thinks he’d be terrible at it.
He told the Daily Star Sunday: “I’d love to go into acting. That would be amazing. It would be so much fun.
“I have no talent, but if I could do it, I would love it. It would have to be in a jokey capacity, though. I’m not going to be a Hollywood heartthrob!” Sam has already got some acting experience under his belt after landing a role in Disney flick Inside Out 2, which was the highest-grossing film of 2024.
The former Made In Chelsea star voiced a security man in the film.
He said: “I really enjoyed being part of Inside Out 2. I had about three lines and it took me about two-and-a-half hours to record it.
“The director was getting me to do it over and over again, so I don’t think I was very good!”
Sam recently announced he’s quit reality shows after doing them for more than a decade.
He said: “My reality days are behind me now. I’m A Celebrity was the pinnacle. I’d wanted to do that my entire life.
“That was the final one for me. That’s how I want my time in reality TV to end. You can’t beat that. “I haven’t been asked to do many reality shows lately because many people know my stance on that stuff.”
The Daily Star recently reported that the former I’m A Celebrity winner Sam Thompson referred to his recent split from his long-term girlfriend Zara McDermott in a funny new video posted on Instagram.
Posted on Instagram, the clip showed the star dressed up like a character from Harry Potter, with his sister Louise, her partner Ryan Libbey and their son all dressed up too and playing along.
Fans were amused, with one posting in the comments section: “I love how happy you are. Good things will come to positive people. You always make me laugh and smile.”
“This is EVERYTHING!!!!!!” said another, as someone else remarked: “This is how you handle a break-up like a pro… I need to take notes.”
“The BEST reactions to break-ups are the humorous ones,” said another fan. “I just need to be your best friend at this point,” joked somebody else.
