Emmerdale devotees were left smitten as Kim Tate, played by Claire King, unveiled her fresh look on the ITV soap.
Kim has been a constant presence in the long-standing series since 1989. As the village’s femme fatale, she’s been at the heart of numerous major plotlines.
Her time in the Dales has been filled with drama, from her countless feuds to the audacious act of faking her own demise.
She’s also been embroiled in several high-profile love affairs – from her scandalous relationship and subsequent marriage to Frank Tate (Norman Bowler), to her recent dalliance with Will Taylor (Dean Andrews). Her romantic escapades have frequently been the subject of village gossip.
Sadly, Kim was left devastated at Christmas when her husband Will passed away. Fans will remember that their relationship had its ups and downs throughout the previous year, reports Leicestershire Live.
In other news, Kim’s step-grandson Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) recently made his return. His sudden appearance raised Kim’s suspicions about his true intentions – and she was spot on.
It has now been disclosed that Joe is suffering from chronic kidney disease and faces a bleak future without a transplant.
In league with the unscrupulous Dr Crowley (James Hillier), Joe is scheming to target his blood relative, his uncle Caleb (William Ash), for a kidney.
Adding to the drama, Joe has begun an affair with Kim’s step-daughter Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley), much to Kim’s dismay.
However, this week, the spotlight was on Kim’s fresh hairstyle, which sparked widespread conversation. In Tuesday’s episode (March 25), she showcased a new layered look completed by a fringe.
Fans couldn’t help but rave about her updated style. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one enthusiastic fan commented: “I like Kim’s new haircut.”
