EXCLUSIVE: ITV This Morning star had an exclusive chat with the Daily Star about how she deals with trolls as she admits “You’re never going to please everyone”

Ashely James had a message for internet trolls

Ashley James won’t let internet trolls stop her having an opinion.

The former Made in Chelsea star regularly debates divisive topics on ITV This Morning even though it puts her at risk of abuse.

She told The Daily Star: “It’s easier to stay in your lane and not disrupt the status quo.

“It would be easier for me to stay quiet and smile sweetly, but I’ve always felt like it’s my duty to care about social injustice.

“You’re never going to please everyone. What’s important for me is to be authentic to myself. I don’t think anything I say is controversial. I just believe in equality.”

In April, James posted onto her Instagram her thoughts on trolls.

She said: “One of the things I get asked a lot is how I deal with online trolls, or as I like to call them – bullies. Because I think the term ’troll’ almost dehumanises the very real people behind their keypads.

“Whether you’re dealing with internet trolls or traditional bullies, remember they want to elicit emotional reactions for their own sick reasons.

“It’s normal not to like everyone – I don’t like everyone – but I have the self awareness to not think that person needs to know my opinion.

“Remember we’re all triggered by things we see online but we don’t need to project that onto others – we can curate our feed to reflect what we want to consume.”

James is not afraid to get stuck in to debates on This Morning

James often clashes with co-star Nick Ferrari in heated debates and even revealed on the TV that he didn’t invite her to his wedding.

This is despite the 38-year-old TV personality expressing her affection for Nick on social media and calling him her “work husband”.

She added: “Whilst we disagree on almost everything do with politics we also have a great working relationship.”

Last October, James was praised by fans for showing off her bikini body after having “birthed and breastfed two kids”.
