Jesy Nelson gives birth after ‘blessed’ pregnancy and shares twins’ unusual names

Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson has given birth to her twin daughters after an induced labour in a London hospital following a “blessed” 10 weeks of pregnancy

The ex-Little Mix star took to Instagram to show off the arrivals

Overjoyed Jesy Nelson is now a first-time mum, having welcomed her twins into the world following an induced delivery in a London hospital.

Jesy and her partner Zion Foster have devotedly spent the last ten weeks in a hospital to ensure their newborns were kept under the safest conditions, and they’re thrilled to announce the arrival of their little ones. The Mirror has learnt that medical professionals intended to induce labour when the babies reached a healthy size at about 32 weeks.

Beaming with pride, the ex-Little Mix star took to Instagram to show off one of her twins snug in an orange beanie, nestled against her. In a second snapshot, her beau Zion appeared utterly captivated, donning a hospital gown while holding onto the other infant.

Jesy joyfully shared that she’d delivered twin girls, penning: “So… Our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31weeks plus 5 days. It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We’ve never felt more in love. Everybody meet Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster. Born on 15.05.2025”, reports the Mirror.

Pals swarmed the comments section with good wishes, as Safiyya Vorajee gushed: “Oh how my heart just filled up with love for you all, congratulations welcome to the world babies you are so special, beautiful names, now it’s time to soak up all the love and start your new chapter with love health and happiness so happy for you all.”

And Luke Hamnett added his congrats, saying: “Congratulations my lovely.”

An adoring fan gushed: “They’re absolutely precious, so are their names. Congratulations and welcome to the World, sweet girls.”

Jesy has been sharing her tough emotional pregnancy journey with her admirers online.

The former Little Mix member Jesy, aged 33, had to undergo an urgent operation in April because the twins were diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, a potentially lethal condition.

After undergoing surgery, Jesy shared her relief: “We feel so grateful and blessed that these little babies are still going strong,”.

Fortunately, the twins’ health took a positive turn as Jesy’s pregnancy progressed.

In May, Jesy treated fans to monochrome snaps of her sizeable bump and fresh ultrasound images of the twins. Her caption read: “Muma Nelson and Papa Foster” with the addition of a heart emoji.

In further photos, she affectionately referred to Zion as “my husband”.

Hailing from Romford, East London, Jesy rose to fame thanks to ITV’s The X Factor in 2011 and remained a Little Mix songstress up till 2020.

Since November 2022, she’s been in a relationship with South Londoner Zion, who in May tackled the London Marathon to gather funds for the Twins Trust, a charity aiding families blessed with twins.

During his sole interview while Jesy was pregnant, Zion expressed optimism about their twins’ birth: “They’re giving us so much hope they’re going to come out healthy.

“Jesy and the twins have triumphed over so much. There’ve been several moments we doubted we’d get this far in the pregnancy.

“”Their strength has been unmatched. We literally feel like we know them already just because of how much they’ve overcome.

“Their characters are so strong. They’re so brave.”

Zion also commented on how their recent experience of living in a hospital to monitor the twins’ progress has strengthened their bond.

“The same four walls are driving us a bit crazy,” he confessed.

“However, we’ve literally grown to understand each other on a deeper level. And I think we really understand how much we actually care about each other.”

Zion continued: “I think it’s at these times when you really, really know what love you have and what your relationship means.

“And I think for me and Jess, this has just taken it to a whole other level of us knowing we are literally made for each other.”

Jesy is not the only Little Mix member to become a mother. In 2021, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock both gave birth to babies within a week of each other.

Perrie welcomed a son named Axel with her fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Leigh-Anne welcomed twins with her husband Andre Gray.

The couple has received thousands of supportive messages from the public since sharing the twins’ struggles during pregnancy. Zion mentioned that Jesy often read these messages, which provided comfort during the pregnancy.

Speaking last month, Zion told the Mirror: “It’s really been incredible, the level of support. It’s been absolutely incredible.

“And I think just massive, massive, massive credit to Jesy, because obviously when these kinds of things happen, it’s very difficult to actually share that.

“But Jess had the courage to say: ‘You know what? I want to put this story out there. I want to let people in. I want people to know it’s not just about sharing the good moments. I want people to know the reality.'”.

“And just to see the response, people’s support, the amount of messages that just flooded in daily.

“Even after the operation, Jess was recovering and we didn’t say anything for a while, people were asking: ‘Oh, is everything OK?'”.

“I think it’s just been just so touching, and I don’t know if the word is ‘motivational’, but it just really keeps us going.

“It helps our frame of mind and helps us just keep going day by day, just feeling supported and feeling love.”
