JoJo Siwa is currently living it up in the Celebrity Big Brother house, but the ex-Dance Moms star has revealed she has sold millions of one item thanks to her stardom
Celebrity Big Brother star JoJo Siwa has sold millions of her signature brand item.
JoJo, 21, has been causing a stir in the Celebrity Big Brother house as she raises eyebrows over her friendship with co-star Chris Hughes. She also has made waves outside of the house after she revealed her ongoing feud with a former TV legend.
But before going into the house, JoJo made a host of revelations about her career in a sit-down chat with Paul C Brunson. Speaking on his We Need To Talk podcast two hours before she entered the house, the former Dance Moms star revealed she did not believe she was being abused on the show, despite intense scenes with manager Abby Lee Miller.
The conversation soon turned to JoJo’s own career, and her iconic fashion looks, which soon became synonymous with her. The star admitted she “didn’t feel like she was becoming a brand”, rather that “people were embracing her for her differences” – which only propelled her further to stardom.
Paul then proceeded to show JoJo a photo of herself at the Kids’ Choice Awards, sporting a pink and green jacket and her iconic bow, styled in a neon green shade. She believed she was 13 or 14 at the time, admitting that the bows she was forever linked to were “massive” on her head.
Host Paul then asked JoJo whether she knew how many bows that she had sold over the course of her career. JoJo then responded: “I’m trying to find out as we speak, but the last time I heard – it was over 90million; it’s crazy!”
Pulling out his own bow, Paul revealed that he himself had bought one for the sake of the interview, to which JoJo revealed that bows were being sold in a variety of different sizes. “There are megabows, and there are standard bows; then you also have medium-mini ones and then there are the smallest ones that we sold.”
She revealed that the bows were still being sold every single day – even well past the peak of their popularity. However in the UK, they were prohibited in schools at the height of the craze.
“It’s crazy, they’re still banned in schools over here in the UK!” JoJo explained. “People don’t know this but for a bit, my biggest audience was over here in the UK, and that was because of the JoJo Bow craze.
“In schools, they became super popular,” JoJo continued. “They had to ban them in school, because kids were trading them and fixing them all the time; they got distracting.”
It comes as JoJo’s net worth continues to skyrocket as she focuses on her music career and her various TV projects. According to the latest estimates, JoJo’s net worth is currently valued at $20million – equal to around £15.1million.
Her income largely comes from her various TV appearance, as well as her YouTube channel where she helps to launch her various products, including the iconic JoJo Bow. Estimations added that should her popularity continue at its current rate, her net worth could rise to as much as $50-$100million.
