Kate Garraway told to ‘move on’ as Good Morning Britain segment halted before chaos

Good Morning Britain presenters Kate Garraway and Ed Balls were discussing the latest news on the ITV show when a segment descended into chaos and Kate was told to ‘move on’

Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway was forced to switch gears when her conversation took a wild turn.

The telly fave, 57, was busy chatting with her co-star Ed Balls about the day’s headlines on Thursday’s show (March 13) when talk turned to some bonkers story about a rogue hawk in a Hertfordshire village.

Their pal Ranvir Singh wasn’t shy in chipping in – she even had a punt at guessing the bird’s breed and why it was attacking people strolling by.

Kate cracked a smile and quipped: “She’s all over this!” To which Ed shot back: “All these theories going around this morning!”

As the topic continued about the hawk, Kate admitted: “The producers are saying to ‘move on'”(Image: ITV)

But as they talked about the hawk havoc, Kate let slip: “The producers are saying to ‘move on’ but I’d be quite happy to talk about this all morning, I’m fascinated here!”, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Ed couldn’t resist a dig: “Or… if we wait long enough, the hawk will appear!”

This feathered felon has been sowing seeds of mayhem in a Hertfordshire village, picking on people and pecking their heads. Word is, this creature is linked to around 20 assaults in Flamstead.

In other news, Kate’s swapping her ITV sofa for Channel 4’s kitchen because she’s joining The Great Celebrity Bake Off For Stand Up To Cancer.

Gearing up for the baking battle, Kate shared: “I’ve never really done it. I love cooking and always seem to know how to combine ingredients to make something delicious but that’s different because you can taste it as you go. Baking is a different ball game entirely.

“You take egg and flour and butter, that taste and look like one thing on their own, then put them together and they create something completely different. Baking is alchemy.

“So, I don’t think I’ve come out proving myself a Merlin, but I’m hoping not to be the Wicked Witch of the West.”

Discussing her go-to treats, she continued: “You can’t go wrong with a Victoria Sponge with a fresh cream middle, I love cake. But I also love savoury bakes – sausage rolls and so on. It’s all delicious.”

The stars are rallying together for Stand Up To Cancer, a massive fundraising initiative by Cancer Research UK and Channel 4.

Cheering them on will be hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding as the celebs tackle a signature bake, a technical challenge, and a showstopper.

On the judging front, Paul Hollywood returns to his post, while Caroline Waldegrave, a dear friend and ex-colleague of Prue Leith, steps in for Prue this time around.
