Fans of Katie Price are seething after she shared bold claims about using CBD.

The showbiz legend, 46, has been busy with her multiple projects – including a meet and greet at a cheap event, where free Greggs products were handed out. She also has been spotted on the set of a new film, where she is set to play a major role.

However, while her showbiz career shows no signs of stopping, Katie has been taking to her social media platforms with several different charitable causes. From raising awareness of disabilities to showing her support for the LGBTQ+ community, Katie has tried to use her platform to highlight good causes where possible.

But in her most recent updates, the Pricey has landed herself in hot water with her fans after she appeared to share claims about cannabidiol, otherwise known as CBD. While promoting a new product, Katie’s fans were left horrified after she shared that the treatment was used on a two-year-old child.

In a video uploaded to her X account, Katie chatted with Serena Sophia who claimed CBD had helped her toddler daughter, who suffered from a tumour in her leg. Chatting with Serena, she claimed: “They’ve shown me the pictures of before and after from using CBD where it shrunk it all.”

Katie said: “The word CBD has been floating around and all of that. People like me in the beginning were skeptical – like, ‘Oh no!’ – but now you know it’s safe, it’s not a drug.”

In the caption of the clip, Katie also mentioned that Serena – who is the wife of Olympian Anthony Fowler – decided not to take the child to the hospital, but instead “healed her themselves”, which she said was “amazing”. However, fans of the showbiz icon were not happy about the promo deal and flooded the replies with messages of concern.

One user fumed: “Nah bro, don’t be selling CBD as a way of curing tumours.” A second added: “Pretty sure claiming it can shrink tumours when there is no scientific evidence of this is illegal.”

A third commenter chimed in: “Please don’t post dangerous false information like this; people might take your word as fact and refuse medical advice. This sort of thing has caused so much harm!” While a fourth simply wrote: “Healing a tumour with CBD oil? Dangerous nonsense.”

According to research from the Worldwide Cancer Research charity, there is currently no evidence that supports claims that CBD oil can be used to treat cancer. They added that CBD can help to reduce symptoms that can be caused by cancer, including pain and anxiety, but insisted that further tests must be run to investigate the claims further.

CBD oil is a product made from cannabis plants that contains CBD, but does not have THC – which is required in order to get high. Many times, these oils are infused with other plants including olive or coconut oil, diluting its strength and helping to provide a natural remedy for problems including severe pain.
