TV titan Kim Woodburn sadly passed away earlier this week after a short illness, but before her death she was happy to have a laugh about one day reaching the end of her life.
The Celebrity Big Brother star was 83 when she died but even in her later years always made sure to look glam.
In a candid chat with Daily Star, she laughed about laying in a coffin just months before her tragic death.
The former queen of clean has no qualms about touching up her visage and poked fun at her surgery journey by saying: “I’ve got to get stuff done, I’ve got a few bob in the bank, why not? Look, I’ve got to lie in a coffin rotting away, smelling and all wrinkled. I’m not gonna do that when I’m on the earth.”
Kim confessed: “I’m also not sitting here going to say, what all celebrities say that look very good for their age, that ‘I’ve had nothing done’. Oh, shut up, of course you have.”
She didn’t mince her words, scoffing at the idea of wrinkling away: “Would you want to walk around with everything hanging all over the place? When it starts hanging dear and when you look at yourself looking like a plate of crumpets.”
Pointing out a spot that still bothers her, Kim said chucklingly: “There’s a bit of flab under here,” gesturing to under her arm. “You’ll never see me in a sleeveless evening gown, but I’ve been kept in good nick,” she quipped.
A representative for Kim announced the TV star’s death in a statement and penned: “It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness. Kim was an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person.
“Her husband Peter is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate. We are so proud of the amazing things Kim achieved in her life and career.
“We kindly ask that Kim’s husband and close friends are given the time and privacy they need to grieve. We will not be releasing any further details.”
