Laura Woods returns to football after welcoming son with Love Island fiancé

Football presenter Laura Woods has made her television debut following the birth of her son Leo in January alongside her former Love Island contestant partner

Laura Woods has returned to TV for the first time since giving birth.

The 37-year-old presenter recently welcomed her son Leo with fiancé and former Love Island contestant Adam Collard back in January and has finally appeared back on television for the Champion’s League semi-final tonight [30 April].

She shocked fans by taking to social media to announce her comeback for TNT Sport’s coverage of Barcelona vs Inter.

The presenter started the programme at 7pm with a pre-recorded message ahead of the semi-final game before going live alongside Steve McManaman and Owen Hargreaves in the London studio.

Laura shared an adorable post to her Instagram Story that showed her mother and Leo waving her off for her first day back.

Once she arrived at the TNT studios Laura posted a picture of her dressing room door with a Champions League background and her name plastered across the front, before adding a row of red heart emojis.

Football fanatic Laura is planning to marry her partner Adam Collard – reality TV fans may recognise him from Love Island. He first appeared on season four and was dumped on day 32, later returning for season eight.

Adam and Laura reportedly began dating back in October 2023 and decided to keep their relationship lowkey. Adam had appeared on the E4 show Celebs Go Dating just weeks before, where he dated Kate Moss’ little sister Lottie Moss.

The couple shared their news with the world last July with a picture of Laura’s French bullgod next to a sonogram with the adorable caption: “Hey baby.”

Adam previously spoke to The Sun about his romance with Laura and said: “The first time we met – I’ll hold my hands up – I did DM her first and got a reply but then nothing ever happened.”

“Then she called [me] out for basically leaving her on read. It’s hard to meet people, isn’t it?”

“I’m from Newcastle and eventually we met up, and then went on a very undercover date, and obviously what comes out in the press, comes out in the press, but it’s not always the full story.”
