John Power supported Oasis last week during the opening gig of their Live 25 tour and has given fans some insight into what the Gallagher brothers are really like
An act who opened for Oasis at the first gig of their Live 25 tour has revealed the current state of affairs between the Gallagher brothers.
Noel and Liam Gallagher’s infamous fallout occurred during a dressing room dispute in Paris in 2009, leading to a 16-year hiatus from performing together.
John Power, frontman of Britpop band Cast, who performed before Oasis last week, offered fans an insight into the brothers’ relationship now. During an interview on Good Morning Britain, Melvin Odoom asked him about the likelihood of another fallout, to which John responded: “I give you my word it is going to continue.
“You know, because they are in a good place. I mean they’re genuinely in a good place. You know, I’ve spoken to them and I can see it in their body language. I mean, I’m no like psychoanalyst or anything but you know, these things happen. Don’t question it, go with it.”
Over 75,000 fans witnessed history as Noel, 58, and Liam, 52, shared the stage for the first time in 16 years on Friday. The brothers, who had been embroiled in a feud for years, briefly hugged and walked out hand-in-hand to the delight of thousands of fans who had waited years for this moment.
Body language expert Judi James analysed the brothers’ actions, suggesting that “Liam was in control”. She commented: “The walk-out ritual signals unity of course but the status and instigation signals are important.”
She continued: “What we do see is Liam very firmly in control, instigating all the action. His arm is around Noel’s shoulders as though he’s the more dominant brother and as though he’s the one finally leading his brother back out to an adoring audience,” reports the Express.
“His maracas are held high in a signal of celebratory victory and they even form a V-shape to add to that message of victory. When they hold raised hands it’s actually Liam grabbing his brother’s wrist and holding it up, again as though presenting him proudly to the fans.”
Judi then commented on the brief hug the brothers shared before they started the show, noting how the ‘significant’ embrace was genuine and not just for the fans – indicating a ‘glorious’ truce.
It was actually Liam who reunited the band, putting an end to their feud. In a post on X when asked who made the first move, him or Noel, Liam responded: “I called him but don’t tell anyone as I don’t want folk thinking I’m a soft lad and stuffs keep it between me n you cheers x.”
Websites like viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to purchase resale tickets from other fans. However, it’s crucial to remember that ticket conditions often forbid resale after the initial purchase.
Those tickets may not be valid for entry to gigs.
Fans looking to purchase tickets for live events via resale websites are advised to review the ticket terms and conditions, to ascertain if resale is forbidden, prior to buying. The original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation, can provide the ticket terms and conditions.
If resale is not permitted, second-hand tickets could be invalidated and entry to the event denied.
