The Oasis frontman has admitted he prefers ‘girlies’ pants’ to fellas’. Beneath his trademark Parka he is likely to be sporting a pair of frillies on this summer’s comeback tour.
Liam, 52, revealed his secret in a web chat about fashion shoots he has taken part in ahead of the 20 sellout gigs. Asked how he chose what to wear the Wonderwall singer tweeted: “Yes someone picks the clothes on a fashion shoot of course.
“I wore my own jeans and socks and shoes and knickers and tee as I’m a grown up.” One shocked fan asked: “Knickers?”
Liam shot back: “You heard.” Another then asked the rocker: “Do you wear girlies’ pants?”
Liam replied: “I prefer them there (sic) cool.” A cheeky female fan of the band then asked: “What colour are your knickers today?” “Nude,” replied Liam.
Liam’s saucy choice may not be such a surprise. His clothing range includes a ‘Liam’s women’s boy brief’ in pink. Trendy GQ magazine said the singer was a fashion icon with a `style like nobody else’.
In 2022 it said Liam was ‘highly influenced by 1960s mods’, adding: “Gallagher’s wardrobe is made up of parkas, raincoats, pea coats and floral shirts.
“These the former Oasis frontman mixes with garments from the rising ‘Madchester’ scene – Stone Island mountain jackets, baggy Levi’s 504s, oversized T-shirts and many a Kangol bucket hat and he has built a look that, while entirely replicable, is distinctly his own.”
