British beauty Liz Hurley shocked fans when she appeared to confirm a surprise romance with Miley Cyrus’ dad, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, in a sweet Easter Sunday snap
Liz Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus left their fans in disbelief when they seemed to confirm they were dating.
British bombshell Liz Hurley never fails to wow fans with her stunning looks on Instagram. The Austin Powers beauty, 59, regularly has fans proposing to her in the comments of her posts.
However, it seems like they might have to compete with iconic country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. Both took to Instagram with a romantic looking snap on Easter Sunday, which showed Billy, Miley’s dad, planting a kiss on her cheek.
Liz could be seen beaming in the sun as she shared the sweet moment with Billy up against a wooden fence in a grassy field. The caption of the post, shared from both of their Instagram accounts, simply read: “Happy Easter” followed by a red heart emoji.
It’s clear fans weren’t expecting it as they rushed to the comments to share their disbelief. One wrote: “Wait what omg”, and another said: “What on earth!! When did this happen?”
A third gobsmacked user asked: “Who else totally did not have this one on their 2025 bingo card?”. A fourth pleaded: “PLEASE! This can’t be ‘a thing'”, and a third added: “My achey breaky heart”, referencing Cyrus’ 1992 mega hit.
It’s clear some were worried Liz had made a bad decision as one commented: “Is anyone else wondering why she’s not seeing the [red flag emoji]”. A second penned: “You better run girl,”
However, it seems Liz’s son Damian approves as he commented a heart emoji and a streamer-blowing party emoji. Neither Liz or Billy have offered any other comment on what their current relationship status is.
Liz and Billy appeared in a film together back in 2022 – Christmas in Paradise – where they played love interests. One of Liz’s bikini posts featured Billy’s song in the background.
Last year, Damian revealed that both he and Liz were dating people. He said: “We are seeing people at the moment, but we’re both quite private.”
He added: “I’ve seen first-hand how devastating relationships in the public eye can become, and we’ve both made a decision that until somebody is incredibly serious, we’re not going to speak publicly about who we’re seeing.”
Liz herself said she was going to be ‘very careful’ about who she chooses to introduce to Damian and her family. She told Hello!: “I would think very carefully about bringing anyone into my life, knowing that it will cross over with Damian’s life. I’d never jeopardise our family dynamic.
“I’ve never hung out with anybody who didn’t have a positive influence on his life. Everybody I loved, and continue to love, has always loved Damian as much as they love me, I’m sure.”
Billy was previously married to Australian singer Firerose, but the pair split after a year of marriage in 2024. Liz’s last public relationship was with late cricketer Shane Warne, which ended in 2015.
