EXCLUSIVE: Love Island’s Anna Vakili wows fans with her dramatic transformation, revealing a 10kg weight loss, new teeth, dramatic hair revamp, and plans for more surgery in the future
Love Island star Anna Vakili has opened up about her dramatic transformation since appearing on the 2019 series of the hit ITV dating show — and she says she looks a far cry from her villa days.
Now 34, the pharmacist-turned-influencer revealed she’s lost 10kg, gone blonde, dissolved her fillers, and had major dental work, admitting she only realised the extent of her old look after watching herself on TV.
Speaking to Daily Star in collaboration with WhichBingo, the home of online Bingo and new casino sites, she said: “I’ve lost 10 kg. I’ve dissolved all my fillers, I’m now basically blonde. I got my teeth done, which was like major.
“Before in the villa, I had no fillers or teeth done. I didn’t realize how bad my teeth were until I saw myself on TV — and now I’m blonde and skinnier. Blondes definitely have more fun. I should have gone in there blonde, I might have had more of a chance.”
Anna also shared her honest outlook on cosmetic surgery, confirming she’s not done yet: “I’m gonna be honest, like, 100% I’m going to have more surgery in the future. Like, that’s a definite. I’m gonna get facelifts in the future. If I ever have kids, I’ll get a mummy makeover — I’m gonna get it all. I wouldn’t just do something for the sake of it, though. I’ll only do it if I really feel like I need it.”
Known for her fiery personality on Love Island series five, Anna remains one of the show’s most memorable contestants — particularly for her explosive argument with Jordan Hames, which has since gone down as one of the most iconic scenes in the show’s history.
But according to Anna, what aired was only a fraction of the chaos.
“I don’t regret that at all, because I feel like I was 100% in the right, yeah, and he deserved it. So I stand by what I did.
“They didn’t even show the full craziness. It was a lot more crazy than that. But yeah, no, he deserved it.
“Because they took me into the beach hut after and they said, ‘I know you went a bit too mad.’ They protected me,” she laughed.
Despite the blowout, Anna confirmed things are amicable now: “I haven’t seen him for years. The first year or two after, I saw him at a few events and we were fine. We completely squashed it. He was younger, it’s easier for him to be swayed, but yeah, I’m over it completely.”
