MAFS star Paul Brunson teases major ‘change’ as filming starts for new UK season

EXCLUSIVE: Paul Brunson has let MAFS UK fans into a little secret about the next series as it’s already started filming – so what will the relationship expert and co be pulling out the bag…

MAFS UK star Paul Brunson teased that viewers should expect a ‘change’ as filming for the next season has already got underway.

The relationship expert, who recently announced he’s also working with Netflix on a new production, has been providing his invaluable advice to newlyweds on the show for a number of years.

Paul is never short of wisdom for those struggling with love-related woes on the show that sees pairs of strangers, matched by experts, meet each other at the alter and spend weeks attempting to build a marriage.

While dating shows have started to feel the heat, with Love Island seemingly gone past its heyday, it looks like things are only on the up for MAFS (Married At First Sight).

Last year Channel 4 reported their ‘biggest day ever’ for streaming, which is owed largely to MAFS UK, that saw record numbers on the opening episode for 2024.

And now Paul has revealed how a key ‘change’ will only keep the show heading in the right direction. On behalf of Klarna, Paul exclusively chatted with Daily Star about what viewers can expect.

“Yes…I think that’s not giving too much away, we’re underway,” Paul confirmed that filming for next series for the hit E4 show, usually aired towards the end of the year, has already begun.

“Last year was the most watched series in the history of the franchise and I think that has improved each year that has gone by. What happens is normally a franchise will kind of lose steam, but this one picks up.

“I think that the reason why it picks up is because there are element changes that are happening, whether it be with who’s contributing and how they’re contributing.

“So, the best thing I could say on this, without getting in any kind of trouble, is that this year you’re going to see – I think you will feel – a change and I think that’s going to endear people even more, to the project.”

While we all wait for the drama, chaos and occasional lovey doveyness from MAFS, Paul fans will be happy to know he can be seen back on TV next month.

It has been recently announced that Paul will be teaming up with Amanda Holden on new Netflix show ‘Cheat: Unfinished Business’, where eight ex-couples will see if they can get back together after infidelity broke them apart.
