Netflix star Vittorio Pirbazari, a body builder who has appeared in shows like Netflix’s Dogs of Berlin, has sadly died after collapsing in a gym while running on a treadmill
Netflix star and bodybuilder Vittorio Pirbazari has died aged just 44.
The actor, who featured in Netflix’s Dogs of Berlin, reportedly collapsed and died during a workout at a gym. The sad news was shared by actor and filmmaker Said Ibrahim on Instagram.
He paid a heartfelt tribute to Vittorio, with whom he worked with on a film project two years ago. In an emotional video, Said admitted: “I don’t know how to start this video.”
He went on to describe Vito as a man who, despite his muscular build and intimidating appearance, had a “soft heart.” He told his followers: “Vito had a soft heart like a ten-year-old, I swear to you,” reports the Mirror.
“I got the sad news that he passed away yesterday and that really knocked me down and threw me completely off track […] I wish the family a lot of strength. I wish his friends a lot of strength.”
He also confessed that he was “simply stunned”. While Said hinted that the fitness enthusiast may have suffered a heart attack on the treadmill, official confirmation from German police is still pending.
Just days before the tragic news broke, Vittorio had posted a selfie on Instagram, showing off his impressive physique after taking some time away from working out due to an injury.
He recently shared with his followers: “Here’s my current shape after 12 weeks without exercise or major physical activity. Of course, it’s no comparison to before, but I’m on the right track given the circumstances. My torn chest is sagging a bit, of course.”
“I haven’t been able to do much exercise-wise in the last 3 months, but I’ve stuck to my diet rigidly. Unfortunately, I’ve lost a lot of muscle, but it will all come back when I can get back on track in the fall.”
“For now, I’m just happy to be back in the gym and am putting all my focus on leg training and cardio. I’m currently trying intervals on the treadmill, but since my legs aren’t fully healed yet, I’m taking it slow.”
“The only thing that’s important to me right now is not to give up and let go, and to get better day by day, week by week.”
Earlier this year, he revealed to fans that he had suffered a pectoral muscle tear and shared an update about undergoing surgery to reattach the muscle. Vittorio also said that he was gearing up for a second pectoral muscle surgery scheduled for May.
In addition to his recent health struggles, he had also previously been involved in a severe car accident. Although he survived the incident, he sustained a fractured vertebra, tissue damage and required stitches on both legs.
After the tragic news broke, his Instagram was flooded with heartfelt tributes from stunned fans. The fitness guru rose to fame as part of the Hardgainer Crew, a band of YouTuber fitness influencers.
His personal channel boasted over 200,000 subscribers. Despite his stardom, Vittorio stepped away from his channel a few years back and has previously starred in the 2018 Netflix smash hit Dogs of Berlin.
Vittorio is survived by his girlfriend and their young son, who was born in 2020.
