Oasis confirm reunion tour documentary film produced by Peaky Blinders creator

Oasis have confirmed a documentary film will be released to coincide with their ‘Oasis Live ’25 Tour’, which will see them reunite for the first time in 16 years

Oasis is gearing up to drop a blinder of a docufilm to mark their Oasis Live ’25 Tour, with none other than Peaky Blinders mastermind Steven Knight producing this iconic reunion piece.

With Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, the brains behind LCD Soundsystem’s banging concert flick ‘Shut Up And Play The Hits’, calling the shots as directors, it’s shaping up to be the rockumentary of the decade.

And it’s all under the sharp eye of Magna Studios, famous for hits like ‘Beastie Boys Story’ and ‘Gangs Of London’, so expectations are sky-high.

Sony Music Vision is chuffed to bits, having snapped up the distribution rights for the project.

The ‘Wonderwall’ hitmakers are hitting the UK and Ireland for an epic throwback, starting in Cardiff on July 4. They’ll be rocking out with Richard Ashcroft and Cast as their special guests.

But it’s not just a local gig – Oasis will take the show on the road to the USA, Canada, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil.

Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher is keeping fans on their toes, stirring the pot about who’ll be joining the band for the tour. He’s poured cold water over NME’s insider info that Andy Bell’s strapping on the bass, with Gem Archer and Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs shredding the guitar, alongside fresh face Joey Waronker on the drums.

With his old spat with brother Noel now water under the bridge, Liam cheekily dared NME to reveal their “sources” while confirming their first live return in 16 years.

He hit back on Twitter, demanding: “NME tell me who your source pots are that keep giving you info about OASIS and I’ll give you an exclusive interview about up n coming OASIS tour you can have it all but how much do you want it LG x. (sic)”.

Then he lashed out again: “It’s not the lineup reveal I’m bothered about I’ll reveal that to you in a minute I’m more bothered about the line where it says a source close to the band and tour that really causes me a great deal of concern LG x (sic)”.

Cheekily throwing in some banter, the former Oasis frontman listed previous drummers, swapping their usual roles, while pointedly leaving out original drummer Tony McCarroll.

Our ‘Some Might Say’ superstar joked: “Tony Mc drums Alan white bass guitar Zak lead guitar Chris Sharrock keys. (sic)”.

This bit of mischief comes just after Liam had a laugh saying that Peppa Pig and a bunch of make-believe telly mates would be hitting the tour road with him and Noel.
