Noel Gallagher was mobbed by Oasis fans just hours before the band’s huge homecoming gigs at Heaton Park.

The Manchester City fan, 58, arrived in the Stock Exchange hotel, owned by United legend Gary Neville on Thursday ahead of tonight’s massive concert.

He was swarmed by fans and signed memorabilia as he entered the hotel surprisingly calm given the ten days ahead of him, the Manchester Evening news reports.

There was no sign of brother Liam and the MEN reports the brothers will be staying in separate hotels for their stay in the city, where they will play five gigs to around 300,000 fans.

The brothers reunited on stage for the first time in 16 years last weekend in huge comeback shows at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. Until then, they hadn’t performed together since V Festival in 2009, which led to a backstage fight at a gig in Paris and the band’s split.

On Friday, Noel was seen outside of the hotel once again getting into a car, where fans had gathered holding posters and vinyl records for the star to sign.

He signed as many as he could before being eagerly ushered into the safety of his car by security dressed in all black.

Oasis are set to take to the stage at around 8:15pm at Heaton Park, and they’ll be performing at Heaton Park on July 12, 16, 19 and 20th also.

The tour was announced last August which caused a mass frenzy with fans desperate to get tickets and spending hundreds just to see the band perform.

A merchandise stand has popped up on St Peter’s Square where fans can get branded hoodies, tote bags, shirts and more. Opening hours for the merch store have been confirmed as 10am to 8pm between Monday and Saturday, except for show days when it will be open between 10am and 7pm. On Sunday, the store will be open 11am to 5pm.

Almost 80,000 fans are expected to arrive at the venue during each night at Heaton Park, with fans queuing for hours in advance before the doors open at 3pm.

Emergency tents have been set up at the venue amid yellow heat health warnings, with organisers urging fans to stay hydrated, wear sun cream and don a bucket hat for the gigs, adding: “And just look after everybody that you are with.”
