Music mogul P Diddy’s cheeseburger topping was revealed in court on Thursday, May 29, as a former employee testified during his ongoing federal trial in Manhattan
During his federal trial on Thursday, May 29, a peculiar eating habit of Sean “P Diddy” Combs came to light, which left the jury visibly disturbed – and this time it had nothing to do with the allegations being made against him.
The embattled hip-hop tycoon is facing the music with five federal charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking. He’s maintained his innocence, pleading not guilty to all allegations.
A one-time staffer of Diddy’s took to the stand on Thursday, spilling the beans while under cross-examination by defence lawyer Marc Agnifilo.
The ex-employee let slip that Diddy has a penchant for slathering applesauce on his cheeseburgers, shunning the usual suspects like ketchup or mustard.
This oddball culinary preference emerged as the former aide detailed how Diddy wielded his Black AMEX card, the swanky American Express Centurion Card known for its hefty spending requirements.
According to the testimony, Diddy had instructed his team to splash out on anything he fancied using the card, from baby oil and yacht charters to posh holiday homes.

Agnifilo’s probing about the applesauce led to the revelation: “Mr. Combs loves applesauce and eats it on the side or on top of a lot of things.”, reports the Mirror US.
The witness elaborated, “Cheeseburgers being one of them.”
But it wasn’t just applesauce that made headlines in the courtroom; another ex-assistant highlighted Diddy’s fondness for American ketchup brands.
It was noted that when jetting off to the UK, Diddy wouldn’t leave home without his trusted US ketchup, convinced that the British version just didn’t cut the mustard.
He also touched on the topic of applesauce, with Agnifilo probing, “Were you aware he put applesauce on his cheeseburgers?” The response was a mix of surprise and familiarity: “I was not aware, but I knew he liked applesauce.”
The Daily Mail reported that Diddy’s quirky burger preference had jurors pulling faces, with one even making a “gagging gesture” upon hearing about the unusual condiment choice.
The trial on Thursday also heard from a former female assistant, known only as “Mia”, who alleged that she was forced to go without sleep for five days on Diddy’s orders.
She recounted her ordeal, saying, “I can usually power through but I remember when I was younger waking up for school, ‘ok you get out at 3 o’clock you can sleep then’. I remember thinking I’d been awake for two days. I didn’t have anything to hold onto for when I could go to sleep.”
