Patrick Schwarzenegger’s son Patrick “almost threw up” over The White Lotus brother snog scene.
The actor, who is Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son, plays Saxon Ratliffe in the show’s third season, currently airing. Since the first episode, viewers have been predicting a weird storyline between him and his younger brother Lachlan. Even the Gogglebox crew were left uncomfortable by the weird scenes.
And in the most recent episode the brothers locked lips during a drug-fuelled game of dares. In it, younger brother Lachlan, played by Sam Nivola, gives Saxon a peck before pulling him in for a more passionate snog.
They were being egged on by new friends Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) and Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) after a boozy night out.
Speaking of the scene, actress Charlotte shed some light on how it was to film – especially after so much fan backlash.
She told Vulture: “Well obviously they’re not brothers by blood, so that made it easier.
“I think for Patrick it was really difficult. For Sam, he was kind of like, ‘It’s whatever, let’s just do it well one time and it will be over.’ You know?
“Because if you don’t do it well the first time, then you have to do it over and over again.”
She went on: “But Patrick’s reaction in the episode is his genuine reaction. We all thought he was going to throw up.
“And Sam was like, ‘It’s fine, it’s just a kiss, calm down!'”
Viewers had been theorising that the brothers were heading for a weird sexual storyline. In the first episode, Lachlan watched as a naked Saxon went into the bathroom to let off some steam.
Then when the kiss happened, they were up disgusted.
One said: “Saxon enjoyed that kiss a bit too much.”
Another said: “The brother thing was gross. The White Lotus pushed that envelope, with the kiss, too far for me.”
A third commented: “This White Lotus episode is especially a hard watch oh my goodness.”
