Peter Andre admits Jafaican has ‘hidden message’ that will make fans double take

EXCLUSIVE: Peter Andre has exclusively told Daily Star that his new film Jafaican has a “hidden message” that many people won’t notice during their first time watching

Peter Andre’s film Jafaican has a hidden message.

The actor’s new silver screen project, which follows Gary Buckle as he attempts to swipe millions to help his grandmother while posing as Jamaican gangster Denton ‘Kill Man’ Powell, is an action film that Peter himself has described as a “throwback 90s comedy” style movie.

However, the singer-turned-actor has also revealed that Jafaican has a hidden message that fans may not notice first time around.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Peter explained: “When you watch the film, you realise that all this is a love story hidden under a heist.”

“Honestly, I loved playing the character of Gary Buckle. He was funny, warm and a really silly crook, not very good at his job.”

“When he went to Jamaica to try and pull off the heist, he was never going to be very good at that either. That was the whole point of the film – what depth and lengths you would go to to help the person that you love? In Gary’s case, that was his grandmother.”

Andre also said that Jafaican is a “tongue in cheek movie” with jokes similar to those of the 90s and 2000s, which will make audiences feel like they are “back in that era”.

Jafaican received mixed reviews after the trailer was recently dropped, which showed the Mysterious Girl singer wearing a dreadlock wig and attempting a Jamaican accent.

Peter addressed critics and acknowledged that it is “really important for people to have different opinions,” however he urged them to do one thing before making their mind up.

Peter issued a message to anyone who hasn’t seen Jafaican

He told Daily Star: “In regards to critics, I think it’s very easy to criticise something based on a trailer. I would say: ‘Go and watch the film first and you will see what the film is about,’ you will see the context.”

“But also a critic should be able to criticise, so I understand how it is.”
