Peter Andre breaks silence on claims of reality show for daughter Princess

Teenage star Princess Andre is rumoured to have landed her own reality-style TV show, but dad Peter has now broken his silence on the matter, revealing there is more to the show

Peter Andre has addressed rumours his daughter Princess has landed her own reality show.

Last week, it was revealed that Princess, 17, would be getting her own TV show – following in the footsteps of her parents, Peter Andre and Katie Price. It comes after it was claimed that Princess would also be trying her hand at a music career, with a collaboration with doting dad Peter in the works.

Princess confirmed that she was working to get her own ITV show, which would give fans a glimpse into the teenager’s life behind-the-scenes, as she tries to launch her career. It follows on from Peter and Katie’s own ITV2 series Katie & Peter: The Baby Diaries, which hit screens back in 2007.

Now, Peter, 52, has spoken out about the claims that Princess could be gearing up for new projects, including her own TV show. Writing in his column for OK!, Peter confirmed there were potential television opportunities for Princess, but what was being reported was “not strictly true”.

He penned: “I know there are reports about my daughter Princess getting her own TV show, which isn’t strictly true. I’m not allowed to say too much, but I will say there is something we’ve been working on with my management team.”

While Peter is fully behind Princess as she tries to carve out her aspirations in the showbiz industry, he insisted that her safety was his #1 priority. Because we have the same team, it means I’m always able to make sure she’s making the best decisions and is protected and safe, which is important to me as her dad.

“She’s such a smart young woman and she has so much potential,” he doted as he rounded off the speculation. “I’m really proud of her.”

Princess’ new series is set to be a fly-on-the-wall type show that looks to highlight her profile in the public eye. The show will follow her as she sets out on her new modelling career, as well as her everyday life – much like her mum Katie.

Speaking to The Sun, a source close to the family said: “Princess is very conscious of the fact her mum got famous very early in her career, so Katie is a big inspiration to her. Bagging her own TV show is a huge deal, but producers are keen to stress it is about her and not her famous parents.”

The insider said that while Katie and Peter would likely star in the show, they would not be the main characters within the programme. Instead, they would be seen as cameo stars, with the cameras following Princess on her big journey into the industry.

Princess is now the second of Katie and Peter’s children to step out into the limelight, following on from Junior’s foray into music last year. Her journey has already been filled with big hits, after bagging her first modelling contract with PrettyLittleThing at just the age of 16.

Despite her success, she has faced accusations of being a “nepo baby”, using her parents’ success as an easy way into the industry. She has hit back at these, adding: “It honestly doesn’t bother me, because I know that’s not the case.”
