Lil Nas X has been hospitalised after revealing he had “lost control” of the right side of his face, as he shared a video of himself unable to smile properly
Lil Nas X has been struck with a health scare that’s left him hospitalised after “losing control” of the right side of his face.
The Old Town Road chart-topper, 26, shared a disturbing video from his hospital bed while donning a gown and sporting a Von Dutch baseball cap, revealing his struggle with partial facial paralysis to fans. But it’s not the only worrying time he’s had after getting trapped in a lift with Camila Cabello last year.
On TikTok, he penned: “Soooo lost control of the right side of my face.”
In the raw footage shown to his whopping 10.4million followers on Monday (April 14) night, the rapper was seen clutching at his jaw and trying to smile – he remarked: “This is me doing a full smile right now by the way.”
He then expressed his frustration, venting: “It’s like, what the f***? Bro, I can’t even laugh right now, bro. What the f***? Ah! Oh my God!”
However, in a reassuring move on his Instagram Story later, Lil Nas X flaunted his usual features declaring: “We normal over here. We get crazy over here.”
With his signature flair, he added: “I’m so cooked.”
But the musician didn’t leave supporters fretting for long and encouraged them not to be downhearted, stating: “Guys I am OK!! Stop being sad for me! Shake Ur a** for me instead!”

Taraji P Henson showed her concern, commenting: “Get well baby.”
Comic legend Wanda Sykes also chimed in: “Get well love. Sometimes your body tells you to sit down somewhere. Rest up.”
Nas has just dropped his latest EP, Days Before Dreamboy, and expressed his desire for this current “era” to be all about embracing his authentic self.
In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, he shared: “I wanna be myself more than ever this era. I want to be completely free out there, only doing the things that I wanna do.”
He continued: “If I do not want to do it, I’m not doing it … If I don’t want be there, I’m not gonna be there.”
Nas further emphasised the importance of self-empowerment, stating: “I think it’s more important than ever to really stand in myself and my power and recognise where I’m taking my energy and where I don’t want to take it.”
