EXCLUSIVE: Real Housewives star Lauren Simon has opened up about her worst-ever TV appearance which led to her being seriously injured and the show being banned from air
Real Housewives of Cheshire star Lauren Simon has claimed she was given concussion after starring on an ITV show.
In collaboration with casino.org Lauren, 52, spoke exclusively to Daily Star about her time on Release the Hounds and her future telly hopes.
When asked if she had ever turned down a TV show, Lauren said: “No. But I did do Release the Hounds, and it was awful!
“One of the dogs jumped on my head and gave me a concussion. The show actually ended up getting banned. Hands down, the worst thing I’ve ever done! Never again!”
Daily Star has asked ITV for comment.
Lauren also revealed she would love to do a filming crossover with the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills – as she loves the look of their “sexy” men.
She shared: “I’d love to do one with Beverly Hills! I used to live there when I was 21, and I look at them as the real Real Housewives. I feel like a pretend one.
“I’d love to go on a cruise with some of the Cheshire girlies and some of their girlies, around the Caribbean and watch the drama unfold. American and Cheshire women have very different outlooks on life, and I don’t know if they’d get our banter.
“Also, Mauricio is really sexy! PK messaged me the other day actually – I was with Boy George at a gallery, and I’d just missed him!
“But yeah, I’d love to hang out with the Beverly Hills women… But maybe more so their men!” she quipped.
In December 2023, Lauren starred on Channel 4’s First Dates but things took a rather embarrassing turn as she wrongly assumed her date knew who she was.
Lauren recalled the moment and giggled: “So many people mention that! I can’t believe I said, ‘Do you know who I am?’ Watching it back, I cringe, if I’m completely honest!
“I really did believe he knew who I was, as he had done every reality dating show going! He’s done Paddy’s Take Me Out three times, and he couldn’t wait to tell me how he split a watermelon with his hand or something.
“I don’t think I should have two vodkas before going on a date with someone ever again. Merlin [First Dates’ bartender] was pouring me these massive cocktails with vodka in it. So maybe I was a little loose lipped.”
