The Real Housewives cast have been dealt another horror health scare as one of the stars of the show has revealed her ex-husband had a “scary” heart attack over the weekend
A Real Housewives star has posted an update from the hospital after a “scary” heart attack.
The Real Housewives cast has faced some devastating health battles in recent weeks. Teddi Mellencamp from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was diagnosed with multiple brain tumours.
She’s undergone surgery which was successful but the reality star revealed more tumours have been found – two in her lungs and others on her brain. Her close pal Tamra Judge, from The Real Housewives of Orange County, suggested she was thinking of quitting the show due to mental health struggles.
And now, Tamras Orange County co-star Gina Kirschenheiter has announced her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, had a heart attack over the weekend. The 40-year-old took to Instagram to Monday to share an update on Matt, who has now returned home, after visiting him at the hospital with their children.
Gina and Matt share three children; daughter Sienna, nine, and sons Nicholas, 11, and Luca, seven. She posted several snaps from their hospital visit, including one showing her and daughter Sienna smiling next to Matt, who was in his hospital bed.
In the caption for her snap, she wrote: “Wow. We had a scary weekend! Matt (the kiddos dad) suffered a heart attack Saturday! He’s only 40 years old!! Thank god Britt rushed him to the hospital and all the hospital staff acted quickly!!
“The kids were very shaken up but thankfully we can be smiling bc he will be okay! He came home today. The kids and Trav and I are so happy to have their dad back. This was too close of a call. Really puts things in perspective. [heart emoji].
The TV star explained she would be adopting a healthier lifestyle after the health scare, writing: “We will all be changing our lifestyle and leaning into the healthy bc being there for our kids is the only thing that matters. Thank you for everyone who has checked in on us. [heart emoji].”
She added: “For anyone out there struggling to coparent, remember you are all a family and what matters most is that you all get to be there for your kids. Tomorrow is not promised, today is a gift [heart emoji].”
Tamra has recently suggested she’s walking away from The Real Housewives as she’s dealing with too many personal issues. She discussed these on the latest episode of her Two Ts In A Pod podcast, which she normally hosts with Teddi.
Teddi is taking time out from the pod because of her brain tumours, so guest co-host Doloros Catania, from The Real Housewives of New Jersey was drafted in.
“There’s so much going on in my life … between therapy and Teddi and some other personal things I’m going through,” Tamra said.”I just hit a wall, and I feel like I’m in a full depressed mode.”
“I think everything with Teddi, and watching what she’s going through, weighed very heavy on you,” Catania replied. I haven’t seen you once since this all happened that you weren’t viscerally upset. You really care, and that says so much about you to me.”
Judge said she’s been “dealing with some stuff through therapy, and that really breaks you down to your lowest point. … And then jumping into the show, and then Teddi — it’s just a combination of so many different things.”
The TV star said she approached the show’s 19th season “not knowing, not sure, very anxious.” She admitted she feels like she’s reached a point where everything around her “is starting to crumble.”
