Shakira recently performed for a crowd of tens of thousands of people, but health officials have issued a warning that concert attendees may have been exposed to an infectious disease
Shakira concertgoers have been warned of possible exposure to an infectious disease.
Thousands of people who attended the singer’s recent New Jersey concert at the MetLife Stadium have been told that they may have been exposed to measles.
A warning was released by the New Jersey Department of Health after the potential superspreader event took place. Anyone who may have been exposed to the disease “could develop symptoms as late as 6 June”.
According to the officials, a concert attendee was in the crowd while infected with measles which triggered the alert, and it is not known whether the individual was vaccinated.
The warning comes just days before Beyonce is due to perform at the same venue as part of her ongoing Cowboy Carter Tour. Tens of thousands of people have bought tickets and are expected to attend to support the Halo singer.
Officials have said that those attending Beyonce’s event should not be at risk of infection related to the alert issued regarding Shakira’s concert.
Shakira is returning to the silver screen in Zootopia 2 as her beloved character gazelle. The first trailer was recently released and audiences were excited to see that the singer is reprising her cartoon role.
She first played Gazella in 2016’s Zootopia and sang her hit Try Everything for the Disney project. Shakira, who is currently on her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour, has reunited with Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman who play Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.
In Zootopia 2’s trailer, a new snake character voiced by Ke Huy Quan is shown escaping from police and bumping into a mysterious hooded figure.
Other new stars include Nibbles the beaver, played by Fortune Feimster, and Dr Fuzzby the quokka, played by Quinta Brunson.
