Harpreet said: “I didn’t do the ‘line yourself up in order’ audition task. Instead, we were all sitting there with the other applicants when suddenly, cameras appeared in the middle of the room.

“The girls were on one side, the boys on the other, and under each of our chairs was a bag.

“When it was your turn, you had to grab the bag, take out an item, and sell it – right there, on the spot, in front of everyone and the camera.

“We had something like 60 seconds, or maybe even just 30, to make our pitch. You really had to think on your feet.

“Some people absolutely froze, while others had no idea what to say at all. It was definitely a test of quick thinking!”

TV star and businesswoman Harpreet also shared her key advice for all new contestants.

She knows how to get on Lord Sugar’s nice side

She explained: “Lord Sugar and I had a great relationship when we were in business together, and we parted ways on really good terms. I’m sure if I ever needed to, I could pick up the phone and he’d be there.

“He can definitely be intimidating, and if he likes you, you’ll be fine – but if he doesn’t, you’ll know about it. Personally, I never found him difficult or intimidating.

“At the end of the day, you can either take his comments personally and get offended, or you can take them on the chin and understand that it’s just his perspective.

“He’s looking for someone he can invest in, someone he clicks with. If you’re the type to get offended by every little thing he says, you won’t get far.

“He’s got a huge amount of experience and knows exactly what he wants. He’s very straight-talking and unapologetic, but why shouldn’t he be?

“He’s successful, and his focus is on getting things done. I never found that intimidating – we actually got on quite well.”
