Fans of The White Lotus have been theorising that the Ratliff brothers, played by Patrick Schwarzenegger and Sam Nivola, were heading for a grim sexual storyline
The White Lotus fans have been left horrified by a “sick” kiss between the Ratliff brothers.
Since episode one, viewers have been speculating that the Ratliff brothers had a creepy relationship. They watched as younger brother Lochlan (played by Sam Nivola) eyed up older brother Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) as he went into the bathroom for some naked alone time.
And now it appears their theories that a more disturbing sexual scene was on the cards might be true. In the latest episode, the brothers ended up kissing.
They went partying with Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) and Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood), with the girls ditching their older boyfriends for the night. Some unidentified pills were added into the mix, as well as a drinking game.
The girls dared the brothers to kiss, with Lochlan diving in for a face-grabbing snog, leaving Saxon looking visibly dazed.
And it seems like the scene is set to continue, as the teaser trailer for the next episode showed Saxon in the throes of passion – but with who it remains to be seen.
Fans were left horrified, with one writing on social media: “Saxon enjoyed that kiss a bit too much.”
Another said: “The brother thing was gross. The White Lotus pushed that envelope, with the kiss, too far for me.”
A third commented: “This White Lotus episode is especially a hard watch oh my goodness.”
So far in third season, fans have watched Saxon exert an uncomfortable power over younger brother Lachlan. Meanwhile, their sister Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook) appears much more grounded, and has been trying to off-set Saxon’s overt machismo.
But the Ratliff family’s chaos isn’t just limited to the kids.
Dad Timothy (Jason Isaacs) has been dealing with big money issues at home while also stealing wife Victoria’s medication.
The ensemble show always takes the drama to the next level, and in recent episodes fans have seen the seasons – linked only by one or two characters – become intertwined.
Belinda Lindsey (Natasha Rothwell) realised that the “Gary” at the White Lotus in Thailand, was actually the Greg Hunt (Jon Gries) she had met at the White Lotus in Hawaii.
More worryingly, she discovered that her old uber-rich friend Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge) was dead.
The White Lotus airs in the UK on Sky Atlantic and is available to stream on Now TV
