But hold up, there’s a catch – every move they make could chip away at that juicy jackpot. We’re talking splashing out on fancy stuff like coffee from an on-site shop where prices are through the roof.

This year’s line-up includes Whitney Adebayo, who became a national sweetheart during her stint on Love Island.

Love Island stardom

Whitney, 27, made waves on Love Island’s 2023 summer series, bagging the runner-up spot with her beau Lochan Nowacki.

OK! reports the lovebirds are still smitten, melting hearts with their adorable Insta snaps.

Just recently, Whitney shared a Valentine’s Day pic clutching a bunch of roses, gushing with the caption: “To my man my man, thank you for giving me my 2012 Tumblr vision board. I waited 27 years for this but ohhh God won’t he do it!”.

Since waving goodbye to the Love Island Villa, Whitney hasn’t slowed down one bit.

She’s now the voice behind the hit weekly podcast What’s It Giving?, co-hosted with her sis Lizzy. They’ve had a stellar lineup of guests, including Love Island alumni Scott van-der-Sluis, Tanya Manhenga, and Kaz Kamwi.

The 27-year-old telly sensation isn’t just a pretty face on the screen; she’s also smashing it with lifestyle content on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. With over a million followers across these platforms, she’s a proper social media queen.

TikTok controversy

Whitney recently came under fire (Image: Joseph Okpako/WireImage)

Whitney’s podcast snippet landed her in hot water with her fans. In an early March video, she chatted about entering her ‘feminine era’ and binning the ‘Bad B aesthetic.’

She dished out several reasons for wanting to up her ‘feminine’ game, but her crowd wasn’t having any of it when she suggested that the ‘Bad B look’—think tight threads and full-on glam—doesn’t snag top-notch partners.

Her fanbase came out swinging, accusing her of losing her genuine vibe. One follower clapped back with a comment: “Just be yourself and stop following trends.”

The backlash is a bit rich considering Whitney belted out ‘I can be a baddie and a lady’ on Love Island, and even has it as her TikTok bio mantra.

But Whitney’s not taking it lying down. She’s hit back, saying she’s still navigating her ‘feminine’ path.

Replying to a fan, she said: “[…] I’m only human gyal going through life like everyone else.” (sic).

That controversial 90-second TikTok clip has racked up nearly half a million views and is still trending on Twitter and Instagram, thanks to various gossip blogs.
