A woman was turned away from the Carlyle Hotel in New York City as a number of A-list celebrities were preparing for the Hollywood event just upstairs
An incident began at the “Met Gala hotel” involving a woman and the security guards.
A woman was reportedly stopped from entering the Carlyle Hotel where a large number of A-list celebrities were preparing for a night at the star-studded Hollywood event.
Security guards reportedly pushed her back to the pavement just hours before the event was due to begin. The incident was filmed on a live stream, which had been set up to capture the celebs as they left the property and made their way to the Met Gala.
The woman was wearing a grey tracksuit and carrying a Sephora bag when she was refused entry to the hotel. The guards kept her out of the hotel but she shouted back explaining that she had “three rooms”.
“I’m staying at this hotel, I’m not leaving,” she reportedly said before exclaiming: “I paid for my room here!”
The woman spoke with New York Police Department officers and someone from inside the building joined the conversation. Eventually she was allowed into the hotel and she began filming the people that pushed her.
She reportedly said: “I’m so mad right now”. It is not known who this woman is or why she was denied entry in the first place.
The Met Gala took place on 5 May and celebrity guests were dressed to the nines for this year’s event, but one star caused the most controversy with their revealing outfit.
Halle Berry took to the red carpet wearing a custom LaQuan Smith look that featured see-through panels that ran from her bust down to her ankles.
She ditched her underwear for the event, which marked her return to the Met Gala after eight years.
Critics took to social media to discuss her risky outfit and one person said: “No draw[ers] on fr?” while another stated: “I’m seeing far too much.”
One critic vented: “I’m not a prude by any means but why show the whole world how [naked] you can get? I love Halle but this outfit is tasteless.”
