Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty get wedding-ready but his mum is nowhere in sight

Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay are set to wed on December 27, but the Olympic swimmer’s mum Caroline has been uninvited following a family feud which has erupted

Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty are savouring their final days as an unmarried couple before they exchange vows on December 27. The pair’s nuptials will take place at the Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul in Bath this weekend, following their engagement announcement in September 2024.

On Monday evening, Holly indulged in a lavish dining experience at her father’s Mayfair establishment, Lucky Cat, where a sumptuous meal from the ‘chef’s table’ can set you back up to £180 per head. She was accompanied by her pal and influencer Eve Winnington, the spouse of Australian swimmer Elijah Winnington, a close mate of the couple.

The pair struck a pose for a bathroom selfie and offered a peek at their dishes, featuring prawns, caviar and sushi.

Holly and Adam have been going all out in preparation for their wedding, recently indulging in a lavish getaway to Lapland. Adam declared he was “the luckiest man on earth” and was eagerly anticipating Holly becoming his wife.

However, Adam’s mum has been conspicuously missing from his pre-wedding festivities after it emerged she’d been disinvited from his big day, reports the Mirror.

The family rift allegedly started when Caroline purchased her outfit, only to be informed by her son and future daughter-in-law – who became engaged in September 2024 – that they disapproved of her choice. Nevertheless, it was subsequently suggested that the breakdown between mother and son actually commenced at his engagement celebration.

The primary cause is believed to be that certain members of Adam’s family were absent from the initial celebration, which left Caroline far from pleased. Viewers might witness this drama unfold on television, as the engagement party was recorded for Gordon Ramsay’s programme.

The Netflix series will follow the renowned chef as he balances launching five new restaurants in London alongside his personal affairs. The Sun reported that a source revealed: “Adam’s family were at the engagement party, when relations were much better.

“Things went downhill from there. His mum was unhappy some of the family weren’t there and confronted Gordon at the event. Guests were made to sign non-disclosure agreements and hand in phones as the party was filmed.”

Adam ended his silence by releasing a statement regarding the dispute. He declared: “For those who know me personally, you know that I work so hard on trying to improve myself as a person who wants to contribute to making the world a better place.

“I am continuing to learn about myself and how I can be the man I want to be; a worthy partner, father, businessman, friend and athlete; even through these challenging times. Bethany, Holly and I will get through this – we do not ask for sympathy.

“We just need people to be aware that there are always two sides to every story. To those of you who have reached out and shown kindness and understanding – thank you. It is deeply appreciated.”

In a gesture of support, his fiancée Holly also posted the message on her social media platform to her 400,000 followers.

The row kicked off in November when Adam’s aunt, Louise Williams, slammed Holly for failing to include Adam’s mum in her hen party. Caroline later broke her silence, revealing she had been going through a tough time but would always stand by her son.

Speaking directly to Adam, she said: “I know it’s the end. But please, the message I want Adam to hear is no matter what happens in the future, please know I love you, your dad loves you, you can come home and talk to me at any point.

“There’s nothing you’ve done that I would not forgive. I love you so much. I hope your marriage is a good one, I don’t wish any ill on you and I want you and Holly to have a long and happy marriage. The reason I’m speaking out is I want all this to end.”

The entire family had initially received invitations to the wedding, with his brother set to act as a groomsman, but things took a turn when James allegedly made “threats” towards the swimmer and was later arrested.
