Joey Essex quit the Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins finale tonight when a gruelling interrogation left him feeling frustrated.
Refusing to wear a sack over his head, the former TOWIE star announced “I’m done with that s***” as he stormed offset.
He could later be heard saying: “I can’t wait to get the f*** out of here.”
Moving into a dark room, Joey’s sobs could be heard by the camera, as he reflected on the harrowing SAS challenges he faced.
Ant Middleton came into the room to comfort him, as Joey revealed he was “gutted, mate”.

Speaking about his late mum, he said: “I know my mum’s proud of me. I know my mums looking down on me now.
“She’s looking down on me and pushing me and it’s made me a really strong person.”
Over on Twitter, viewers were moved to tears by Joey’s exit, praising his perseverance and bravery throughout the series.

A second added: “Literally sobbing at @JoeyEssex_on @SAS_WDW your mum would be so proud.”
While a third agreed: “Joey big respect, you did so so well.”
Later in the episode, Paralympian Lauren Steadman and Rudimental DJ Locksmith were both crowned the series champions, in a Celebrity SAS first.

Clearly impressed by their endurance, Middleton said: “You have both successfully passed this course.”
Boxer Tony Bellew, Countryfile star Helen Skelton and Hollyoaks’ Nikki Sanderson narrowly missed out on the top spot, making it into the finale.
Branding Steadman as “absolutely outstanding,” the notoriously tough soldier pulled the champs into a hug, offering his congratulations.
