Coleen Rooney says she tried to settle her fall-out with fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy to avoid a drawn-out court case but has now told pals: “Bring it on.”
The pair have been at loggerheads ever since Coleen accused Rebekah’s Instagram account of leaking stories about her last year – something she vehemently denies.
The wife of former England ace Wayne says she wanted to avoid a costly and public libel hearing with Rebekah.
But a source close to Coleen, 34, claimed there “wasn’t a willingness on the Vardy side” to resolve matters amicably.
Now the case is going to court, Coleen was said to be confident they have a robust case and will emerge victorious.

The source added: “Coleen wanted to do the right thing and avoid a ridiculous court case with spiralling costs.
“But Vardy’s side were immovable. Coleen’s accepted that and is happy to fight her corner and lay out her evidence.”
It is believed Rebekah wants a public apology which Coleen is refusing to give. The pair met by Zoom but the talks ended in deadlock.

Coleen has said she was disappointed at Rebekah’s decision to take her to court as she offered to meet face to face. Rebekah, 38, wife of Leicester striker Jamie, has said the stress of the public dispute has sparked severe anxiety attacks.
Coleen’s lawyer Paul Lunt said: “It is disappointing that Mrs Vardy has chosen to issue court proceedings. Coleen feels that the time and money could be put to better use.
“Her offer to meet face to face still stands. Mrs Vardy’s preference for court proceedings does at least mean that Coleen’s evidence can be made public when the time is right.”
Coleen said last year that she spent five months trying to find who was sharing stories about her and her family based on information on her personal social media page.
Rebekah, who has not commented on the saga’s latest twist, says third parties had access to her Instagram account and a ITV forensic expert was working to discover who could have been behind the leaks.
