Scarlett Moffatt refuses to deny Strictly stint as she speaks out on rumours

Scarlett Moffatt could be set to appear on Strictly Come Dancing later this year as she refused to deny she was taking part.

The former Gogglebox star made an appearance on Lorraine speaking to guest host Christine Lampard, who couldn’t help but ask her about the Strictly rumours.

Christine told Scarlett that all she needed was a “yes” or “no”, but the northern lass didn’t end there.

Scarlett, 29, said: “I mean, I love Strictly – but if not, I’ll just be there on TikTok making my own Cha Cha dances up.”

Could that be a hint that Scarlett will be taking part this year?

If so, the former Beauty School Cop Outs star may be forced to go into lockdown pretty soon as it’s reported the contestants will have to quarantine together before taking part.

The celebrities will reportedly be forced to form a social bubble with their pro dance partners for six weeks before the series begins.

A source told The Sun: “These are unprecedented times.

“The crew and dancers are still reeling at being told how extreme the measures have to be.

“They’ve left one lockdown for another.

“They’ve got girlfriends, boyfriends, wives, husbands, children and pets – it’s not going to be easy being separated for that length of time.”

The source added: “Nevertheless, they love the show and are determined to bring it back to our screens.”

It’s thought that the dancers will have to stay in a hotel in London, even rehearsing for the dazzling group numbers there too.

On top of that, it’s reported that the group of contestants and pro dancers will be frequently tested for coronavirus.

It has been confirmed that this year’s series will start on October 24, a month after it usually starts.

The series will comprise of just nine weeks of episodes instead of 13, and will feature fewer celebrity contestants.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV
