The Prodigy pay Twitter tribute to Keith Flint on his 51st birthday

The Prodigy took to social media on Thursday morning to mark what would have been the 51st birthday of Keith Flint.

In a heartfelt Twitter post, the band wrote: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY FLINTY ! We miss u so so much. u are in our thoughts everyday (sic).

“RAISE THE ROOF BROTHER, WE WILL FOR YOU ! X,” they added alongside several snaps of the singer.

Of course, fans were quick to comment on the post and send their own well wishes to Keith – who took is on life in March 2019.

“Not a day goes by without thoughts of my hero Fire the ultimate performer, and the greatest dancer love ya forever Keef,” one person wrote.

A second added: “He’ll live forever in your music but he’s missed,” while a third replied: “Happy Birthday Flinty! Keep on Rockin’!! #weliveforever.”

The Prodigy members Liam Howlett and Maxim also shared the same tribute on their official Instagram page.

Sadly, Keith was found dead at his home in Essex on March 4, 2019 and his bandmates confirmed at the time that he had taken his own life.

Liam penned a comment on Instagram, which read: “The news is true, I can’t believe I’m saying this but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend.

“I’m shell shocked, f***ing angry, confused and heartbroken. RIP brother, Liam.”

While Keith’s manager wrote: “Without Keef’s contribution to The Prodigy life would have been quite different for me and there have been no shortage of voices over the last 36 hours expressing the sense of loss that accompanies the departure of this extraordinary performer.

He continued: “Having signed The Prodigy to XL before they played their first gig I was fortunate to have a unique insight into the very early stages of the bands development.

“In the early 90s they once found themselves playing a bar in Florida. Many of the people in there were looking at the tiny stage with bemusement.
