Some Britain’s Got Talent viewers were less than impressed after watching Damien O’Brien’s final routine.
Damien roped in help from acting head judge, Amanda Holden, to help him with his magic trick.
He got Amanda to pick a card before requiring that she sanitised her hand.
The West End songstress was then asked to head to social media, click on his profile and find the corner of the said card before hitting his Instagram page again.
However, viewers reckon they’ve spotted the moment he “pocketed Amanda’s phone”.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: “This is the point Damien O’Brien pockets Amanda’s phone.
“His assistant then comes on stage and takes the jacket away with the phone inside.
“Just can’t work out how it gets inside the string! #britainsgottalent #bgt #britainsgottalentfinal #bgtfinal.”
The sentiment was backed up by another viewer who said: “I would guess this rather thick table leg could be the way the assistant gets the wrapped-up phone into the box through the floor.”
A third said: “Thank God you posted this, I thought it was real magic.”
Damien also came under fire after viewers “worked out” his trick.
After his trick was unveiled, Amanda noticed that the paper card she had pulled out, matched the corner of the card posted on his Instagram page.
Viewers were left doubting the trick shortly after.
“He was very, very, very freaking careful to rip the second card so it matched the first card he ripped, then asked Amanda to finish it off, but held the card so she could only finish the rip he made. It was so obvious,” said one viewer.
While a second tweeted: “All he needed was 2 x 8 of Clubs cards. He ripped the corner of one. Amanda ripped the corner of the other. The corner on his Instagram was the one he ripped. They looked the same because who could be f**king bothered checking. #BGT”
