Tom Cruise made secret trip to say thank you to NHS staff in touching gesture

Tom Cruise has reportedly made a “secret trip” during which he visited frontline NHS workers at a vaccination centre to say thank you.

The 58-year-old Mission Impossible actor, who is currently filming the seventh instalment of the franchise, is believed to have headed to London’s ExCel centre last Thursday.

According to The Sun, Tom ensured that his visit to the vaccination centre was kept secret and staff got quite the surprise upon his arrival.

His recent visit to the vaccination centre came as he faced ongoing setbacks to Mission: Impossible 7 filming amid the pandemic.

An insider recently revealed to The Sun that Tom was very committed to paying his “personal tribute” to NHS workers.

“The world had heard his rant at crew on set and that proved just how seriously he has taken the pandemic.”

Tom’s visit to the NHS centre came some months after the actor was branded a ‘nightmare’ by production staff amid Mission: Impossible filming.

At the time, recordings emerged of what is believed to be Tom’s furious rant at staff as he urged them to take social distancing seriously.

The A-lister has been hell-bent on finishing his film for bosses – whom he says were looking to the film to help revive the dwindling industry.

Since the start of the pandemic, the film production has also been rocked by a number of set backs that included halting filming in March 2020.

Recently, filming in the Middle East was also axed with staff heading back to the UK before more quarantine measures were imposed on flight arrivals.
