Emmerdale evil Paul's downfall 'figured out' by fans after they spot CCTV clue

Emmerdale’s Paul Ashdale has left his son for dead after violently beating him to pulp, with doctors fearing Vinny Dingle is suffering from internal bleeding.

However, certain eagle-eyed viewers spotted a camera in the background of the assault scene, and many are convinced it will signal Paul’s downfall.

Vinny (Bradley Johnson) overheard Paul (Reece Dinsdale) talking about his gambling, and realised he had succumbed to addiction yet again, threatening to tell his mum Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley).

Paul – who has abused Vinny before – saw red and started to attack his son, beating him to the ground until he lost consciousness.

During the harrowing assault, which left a number of viewers complaining about the pre-watershed violence, Paul promised to teach his son “a lesson you’ll never forget”.

Viewers spotted what looked like a CCTV system attached to one of the nearby buildings

In the background of the scene, there was a stone building with what looked like a white CCTV camera extended from one wall – something certain fans spotted.

Soap fans are hoping the CCTV footage will be used as evidence to destroy Paul, sending him behind bars for the twisted assault.

Taking to Twitter, one user wrote: “I spy a camera.”

“Will the attack be filmed,” a second added, sharing a picture of the nearby building.

Doctors are concerned Vinny has suffered substantial internal bleeding

And a third penned: “Wasnt them cctv on them then?”

“Does Arron have cctv,” wondered a fourth.

When his anger subsided, Paul realised what he had done, and rushed Vinny to the hospital in an ambulance, fearing he had taken his son’s life.

In the ward, the doctor revealed Vinny was very poorly, as she quizzed Paul about the identity of his attackers.

Paul spun a web of lies, claiming Vinny had been mugged for his wallet

Paul claimed he had found him battered and alone in the scrapyard, insisting he didn’t have a clue who had assaulted the sweet-natured teen.

Mandy later raced to the hospital, her eyes streaked with tears as she interrogated Paul about what had happened to her son.

Paul continued to feed Mandy lies, but with evidence potentially stored in the CCTV system, could the truth come to the surface?

Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7pm with an extra helping on Thursdays at 8pm.
