Phillip Schofield burst into fits of laughter as Holly Willoughby started laughing her head off at her own naughty comment about “staining” her dress with Indian food on This Morning today.
The presenters were enjoying Nisha Katona’s Great British curry tour as they tucked in to her delicious Korma with cardamom and fried rice dish in the ITV studio.
As the pair enjoyed the beautiful food just before lunchtime, Phillip commented: “And it is absolutely delicious. I mean everything that Nisha cooks is delicious and amazing.”
“I know,” Holly agreed, as Phillip said again that Nisha’s food was just stunning.
“And simple as well, it’s that layering isn’t it of flavours. Although I have layered my dress with a nice blob of stain now,” Holly suddenly realised.
Thrilled with the timing, Phillip chimed in: “Don’t worry we’ve got an item coming up we’ll sort that out.”
“Lindsay I’ve got a stain!” Holly then exclaimed across the studio, suddenly realising that her words could be misconstrued she burst into laughter and Phillip followed suit as he tried to move on from his co-star’s naughty comment.
“What have you achieved after 40?” Holly attempted to carry on, but still struggling to stop giggling she laughed: “Not a lot let me tell you!”
“After recent research has revealed that that’s when life really does begin. Vanessa is here to take your calls straight after this…” the presenter continued, before realising Phillip, 59, was doubled over in tears.
“Pull yourself together,” she chastised with a grin.
Meanwhile viewers were taken aback by Holly’s naughty comment, which could be seen as a hilarious innuendo.
“I think it was: — I’ve got a stain!!!!! Still to come…. #ThisMorning,” one person wrote in shock.
Another reminded the star of her food and drink stains after getting worse for wear at the National Television Awards on the infamous episode of This Morning two years ago.
“I bet that stain ain’t as bad as the one at the NTAs Holly,” they wrote. “Yeah you remember that moment don’t you #ThisMorning.”
“#ThisMorning I’ve got a stain what’s so funny,” a third wondered.
While a fourth shared Holly’s quote next to a meme of Mr Bean looking quite perturbed.
