Cat Deeley worried her 'no boobs and nose' would hold her back in Hollywood

Brit-turned-Hollywood star Cat Deeley has revealed how she never thought she would make it – because of her appearance.

In a new interview with The Telegraph, the 44-year-old TV star opened up about her career origins and has admitted she never thought she would “crack” America because of her looks.

On her appearance, she told The Telegraph: “I’ve still got no boobs and a nose that goes that way.

“My teeth have always been good – weak, but look good. When it comes to stuff like that, you’re asking the wrong woman.”

Cat continued: “I never thought I was going to crack America.”

“Even in my wildest dreams. Once I’d got the [SYTYCD] job, I was worrying about getting my US driving licence and finding somewhere to live.

“Naïvety was really beneficial. I was concentrating on practicalities rather than thinking, ‘Oh my goodness, so and so is in the room.'”

However, she has well and truly put those doubts to rest as she has already enjoyed a highly successful Hollywood career, making a name for herself whilst living and working there for 14 years.

Cat is also known to have superstar pals, and was close friends with model Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley, 34, and supermodel Cindy Crawford, 55, whilst living in LA.

She also lived just down the road from Mission Impossible mega-star Tom Cruise – that’s some top-notch, stunt-tastic security.

However, for now at least Cat has left the glamorous LA life behind as Cat she and her husband Patrick Kielty have relocated to London again with their children.

Her son Milo is five, and James is three.

The former SMTV Live presenter recently appeared on Lorraine to chat about working with Ant and Dec and how the trio agree working their morning show was the “best time of their lives”.

Last month, the host reunited with the Geordie duo on ITV’s Saturday Night Takeaway – where Ant and Dec managed to prank her in spectacular fashion.

In fact, Cat even stood in for hosting legend Lorraine on her hit morning show for a week in a return to her UK presenting roots.

Her other famous presenting jobs has included hosting the BRIT Awards in 2004 as well as the BBC’s Fame Academy back in the day.
