Resident ITV This Morning doctor, Zoe Williams, has announced the birth of her first child.
On Sunday, the 41-year-old took to Instagram to share the news with her followers.
Zoe and her boyfriend Stuart McKay announced their pregnancy in January.
The announcement came after Zoe had said she considered using a sperm donor in her quest to becoming a mother.
Sharing a sweet photo of her new baby’s hands resting on hers and Stuart’s, the popular ITV doctor captioned the image: “So delighted to announce that baby Williams-McKay has arrived and we are all safe, sound and doing great.
“We are taking a week away from social media to enjoy our newborn love bubble but I promise to share all the details once I’m back online next week.”
They are yet to announce the baby’s name or gender, but will no doubt update followers when they return to social media in a week’s time.
The Instagram post racked up over 23,000 likes with sweet comments from fans and followers.
Love Island host, Laura Whitmore said: “Congrats xxxx”
While Louise Thompson said: “Congratulations to you and your gorgeous little family! Enjoy a well deserved break”
And colleague Ruth Langsford expressed her excitement: “Congratulations!!! Can’t wait to see him/her Enjoy your baby love bubble!”
Zoe, who was first on our screens in the popular TV series Gladiators, described her pregnancy as “magical”.
She opened up about how she had frozen some of her eggs in 2018. She explained: “Having my scan was just the most amazing thing. It’s so magical, the wonder of seeing this little life that’s growing inside you.”
In May, Zoe was open about feeling nervous about giving birth when she was interviewed by HELLO! magazine.
She said: “I’m feeling a bit apprehensive about the birth, but also there’s a small side of me that’s looking forward to it and I can’t wait to meet the baby.”
She explained how she “came into this pregnancy with a doctor’s mindset”.
“Having worked in obstetrics and gynaecology, I’ve been exposed to many more complicated births than straightforward ones.
“But we’ve got a doula who’s attended many births and she is helping me readdress what my ideas are around everything.
“Thinking about a home birth is a massive shift for me, although I’m still weighing up all my options.”
