The Chase turned awkward on Wednesday afternoon, as one gorgeous contestant stepped in to correct Jenny Ryan.
Jenny, AKA The Vixen, was squaring up to contestant India – a recruitment consultant from Essex – after she scored £3,000 in her cash builder round in an attempt to catch her out.
And while India turned around to her team to ask which offer she should go for – a high offer, the £3,000 she scooped in her quickfire round, or a low offer of £1,000 – she was clearly torn between the middle and high offers.
Most of her team wanted her back for the Final Chase, so advised her to opt for the middle.
And eventually, India took their advice, telling host Bradley Walsh her decision.
But Jenny wasn’t so sure she’d made the right choice, as she said: “Not a lot of difference between the three and the one.”
India wasn’t having any of it, as she quickly countered: “£2,000.”
“I can do that maths!” Jenny responded hotly as the blunder came to light.
Though India found herself ousted from the quiz after a tricky cash builder round – in which she couldn’t decide which of the Gallagher brothers sang lead vocals on one of Oasis’ hits – fans were more distracted by her good looks.
“Come on India!” one fan tweeted as they first glimpsed the brunette beauty on the podium.
Another simply filled their tweet with rows of heart-eyed emojis as they penned: “Hellooooo India!”
Someone else agreed: “India is attractive whatever her quizzing ability #TheChase.”
“What a shame ‘pass’ isn’t an option in the multiple choice,” another social media user said, remarking on India’s tendency to skip over the trickier questions Bradley fired at her.
And as India bid farewell to the show after being caught out by The Vixen, someone else penned: “Bye India – love you!”
On Tuesday, host Bradley was forced to call out one contestant, after they slipped up on saying Paul Sinha’s name.
Ahead of the quiz starting in earnest, Brad asked Nikki: “Okay, so who’d you want to take on?”
Responding, Nikki proudly declared: “Paul Singer.”
Bradley couldn’t help collapsing into giggles as he responded: “Paul Singer? Singer as in a Singer or Sin-ha?
“Do you know what I’ve heard him sing and he ain’t bad,” the jovial host added.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
