GMB's Ranvir Singh speechless as Jeffrey Archer forgets her name on air

Good Morning Britain host Ranvir Singh was called “the lady on the end” by former MP Jeffrey Archer as he forgot her name live on the breakfast show.

On Wednesday’s programme, the author and former MP went on the show to discuss his new book but got sidetracked when emphasising how early the show’s start time was.

Hosts Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid then joked that they should move the programme to lunchtime and call it “Lunchtime Britain” instead.

The Lord then revealed a behind the scenes conversation he had with presenter Ranvir Singh before they went on air, but forgetting her name on the spot – pointed towards her and called her “the lady”.

He said: “I really admire the particularly the lady on the end there that seems to get up at three in the morning.”

Susanna then stepped in and said: “That would be Ranvir, the lady at the end.”

He then said: “The Ranvir, sorry.”

To which Richard Madeley jumped in to joke: “The Ranvir, that’s what we will call her from now on.”

Jefferey then quipped back asking Susanna not be “horrid” as he noticed and apologised for his blunder.

This comes after co-host Richard Madeley seemed to confirm his I’m A Celebrity stint after slipping up live on the show when Susanna appeared to catch him out.

He refused to rule out his appearance on the hit reality show after it was rumoured that he had signed up to enter the castle with this year’s cohort of celebs.

Richard dropped a bombshell when he confessed that he’d had a medical, which is something celebrities need to have in order to enter the jungle – or in this year’s case, castle.

Richard said: “I’ve got to go for a routine medical about midday today where you’ve got to fast for 12 hours, so I’m not even allowed tea and doing this show without caffeine!”

Susanna then tried to catch the host out and hinted at his potential appearance in the Welsh castle when she said: “Why are you going for a routine medical?”

Richard defended himself and said: “Oh, because I’m very old, Susanna, for insurance.”

“Oh… right. Hmm,” Susanna replied, unconvinced.

“You going to make everything into everything?” Richard exclaimed.

Susanna had pressed her co-host on this topic earlier on in the show when she said: “Are you doing anything in a month’s time, Richard, that means you can’t stay with us for more than a month?”

“She means I’m A Celebrity,” Richard explained to the viewers.
